A method of error self-compensation in gyro-stabilizers
Abstract
The present work considers a three-axis gyro-stabilized platform subject to harmonic perturbations with perfectly balanced two-degree-of-freedom gyroscopes, the input axes of two of which perform continuous, precessional rotation about their own output axes. This scheme and the conventional scheme are compared on the basis of an analysis of platform drift due to angular oscillations of the platform caused by external moments relative to the axis of the universal joint of the platform. The new method is shown to be effective in comparison with the classical scheme.
