Radius of the neutron distribution in 208Pb from (p,n) quasielastic scattering
Abstract
A microscopic isospin interpretation of the (p,n) reaction is used to determine the ratio of the rms radii of the neutron and proton distributions in 208Pb from (p,n) scattering data at 25.8 MeV. The result for the ratio is <rn2>12<rp2>12=1.07+/-0.03.
