Are the gapless excitations responsible for the back bending of the moment of inertia?
Abstract
An expression for the rotational frequency at which the gapless excitation arises in the nucleus has been found. The consequences of the gapless excitation resulting in the back bending of the moment of inertia have been analyzed.
