A method of the calculation of the mantle-electrical conductivity by the inversion of the geomagnetic secular variation data
Abstract
An optimization technique is described for inverting the geomagnetic secular variation data to find out the electrical conductivity. It is simpler and more straightforward than the exact technique based on the Gelfand-Levitan theory of the inverse boundary value problem for the second-order differential equation [1].
