Tunable infrared difference-frequency generation with a high-repetition pulsed dye laser
Abstract
An output from a cresyl-violet dye laser, pumped by the second harmonic of a Q-switched Nd:YAG laser, is mixed with the pumping light in a LiIO 3 crystal to produce an infrared output tuned from 2.8 to 3.4 μm with a repetition rate of 20 pps.
