An analysis of the energy errors in the calibration of radiometric instruments
Abstract
The energy errors of radiometric instrument calibration are analyzed. The relative partial derivatives of the energy quantity, determining the output signal magnitude, with respect to several parameters characterizing the instrument, calibration source, and calibration conditions are calculated. It is shown that the calibration sources now used with temperatures up to 300 C are generally not the optimal from the viewpoint of calibration errors.
