Electrophysical problems of using solid and combination dielectrics in high-voltage equipment
Abstract
Topics discussed include an analysis of the theory of breakdown and electrical aging of solid and composite insulation under the action of partial discharges; experimental studies of the electrical strength, reliability, and statistical characteristics of electrical insulation; and the latest methods of experimental study of electrophysical processes in electrical-insulation materials and structures. In addition, new data are presented concerning the behavior of thin dielectric films in prebreakdown and breakdown electric fields, a generalization is made of the spatiotemporal and statistical patterns of discharges in solid and composite insulation, and the development and introduction of methods of automating scientific studies of solid and composite insulation in high-voltage industrial and electrophysical devices are considered. Individual items are announced in this issue.
