Gasstrom im System 68u Herculis
Abstract
Results of spectroscopic observations of the eclipsing binary 68u Herculis (B3 III) are given. Diagrams are given which show the variation of equivalent widths with phase for lines of the Balmer series. A method is proposed which allows to detect gas streams in spectroscopic binaries of early spectral type. It is necessary to take a small number of spectrograms symmetrically to the primary minimum or to the secondary minimum. If a gas stream is present, the equivalent width of the Balmer lines is stronger after the minimum than before the minimum. This effect is more pronounced at the secondary minimum.
