Selfsimilar solutions of unsteady boundary layer equations
Abstract
Derivation of selfsimilar solutions of the unsteady boundary layer equations for a compressible gas on a wedge or a cone. Selfsimilar solutions are obtained for two problems involving unsteady boundary layers  namely, the problem of diffraction of a shock wave moving at a constant speed on a thin wedge or cone, and the problem of the penetration of a thin wedge or cone into a viscous compressible fluid.
