Infrared observations of northern emission-line stars.
Abstract
One hundred and forty-two stellar planetary nebulae and a few other emissionline stars of the northern galactic plane have been examined in the infrared. Twenty-nine of these, including the peculiar variable star HBV 475, are shown to have late-type stellar components. Some previously unreported instances of large infrared excesses are also presented. Spectra of some of the infrared sources are briefly described. Extinction in the m ice band has been found in the spectrum of MWC 349; this supports its suspected membership of Cyg OB2. Three planetary nebulae thought to be stellar have been found to be extended.
