Observations of the linear polarization in the Hbeta emission feature of gamma Cas.

Linear polarization measurements have been made across the Hfl emission line of y Cas. The results show a significant reduction in the degree of polarization at the emission peak relative to the values in the wings and the continuum. This depolarization effect in the emission feature exhibits variability.
