Electromagnetic devices for automation /3rd revised and enlarged edition/
Abstract
The present work examines the design and operating principles of a variety of components of analog and digital devices which make use of the nonlinear and hysteresis nature of the magnetization curve of ferromagnetic materials and their domain structure. This includes magnetic amplifiers, magnetic logic elements, magnetic diode and transistor elements, magnetic memory elements, thin magnetic tape elements, and single-crystal domain elements. Theory of electromagnetic relays and magnetically controlled contacts, coupling devices, and stabilizers is treated.
