The possibility of predicting the 5-6-year variations of geomagnetic activity
Abstract
The 5-6 year cycles of average-annual variations are shown to be present in an integral characteristic of planetary tidal forces on the solar surface. These cycles are in phase with the average-annual time variations of geomagnetic perturbation of a number of proton and all other flares on the sun for 1944-1972 as well as with solar radio-emission intensity within the range of 200 MHz for the period of 1954-1964.
