A self-balancing instrument for measuring linear displacements
Abstract
The design and principles of an operation of an electronic meter of linear displacements are described. The instrument consists of an S-shaped magnetic core utilizing two Hall-effect devices. The specifications of the designed meter are presented. It is shown that the discrepancy between the theoretical and experimental characteristic curves of the instrument is 1.5%.
