Oscillations of a viscous, rotating capillary liquid
Abstract
The present paper considers a viscous incompressible liquid which partially fills a vessel and rotates together with it around a motionless axis at a constant angular velocity. It is assumed that the free surface of the liquid has no points in common with the vessel wall, and both surfaces are sufficiently smooth. The problem of small motions of the liquid relative to the uniform rotation is investigated.
