On the solution of Poisson's equation for rapidly rotating stars.
Abstract
A twodimensional finitedifference technique is applied to the problem of finding the gravitational potential associated with an axisymmetric density distribution. An evaluation of the effectiveness of the method is given based on calculations of polytropic models with rapid differential rotation.
