Aperture-synthesis observations of H I in the galaxy M83.

High-resolution observations of neutral hydrogen in the spiral galaxy M83 reveal a very extended H I distribution and a peculiar velocity field. An interpretation is presented in terms of substantial warping of the plane of the galaxy for the material outside the optical image.
