Resolution of the praseodymium abundance anomaly in the Ba II stars.
Abstract
Previous abundance analyses of Ba ii stars have usually yielded large excesses of praseodymium over its rareearth neighbors. Several of these analyses have been revised to include the effect of hyperfine structure in the spectrum of Pr ii. The revised abundances show excellent agreement with predictions of the s-process.
