An infrared source associated with a Herbig-Haro object.
Abstract
An infrared source of angular extent 6" has been found associated with a Herbig-Haro object in the Corona Austrina dark cloud. The infrared spectrum of this object, between 5 and 12.6 , is very similar to that characterizing three irregular variables of the Orion population located within the same dark cloud. It is proposed that the optical manifestation of this Herbig-Haro object represents the light scattered from a T Tauri-like star embedded deep within the CrA dark cloud.
