Radio wave propagation below an anisotropic stratified ionosphere
Abstract
A general expression for the electromagnetic field of a vertical electric dipole below a stratified anisotropic ionosphere, will be found in terms of an integral, depending on a modal reflection coefficient. Such a coefficient is evaluated through the use of the matricant. A closed expression of the field is obtained, under particular conditions, in terms of equivalent sources.
