Interaction of hot stars and of the interstellar medium. ,IV. Two bright Halpha -knots associated with the H II region Sharpless 88.
Abstract
Summary. Two bright H oc-knots near the diffuse nebula Sharpless 88 are described. They both contain one or two central stars, one of which has been found from UBVphotometry to be a reddened blue star. Attention is drawn to the relative positions of these knots, a closeby OH source and two radio continuum sources, all located in an obscured region definitely distinct from the more extended optical nebula Sharpless 88. The observed region appears to be a favorable region for star formation. Key words: H ii regions - exciting stars - star formation - OH sources
