Experimental determination of the electron density at the nucleus as a function of the chemical state of ruthenium
Abstract
The effect of the chemical state on the electron capture rate has been measured for the first time at an element suitable for Mössbauer work (Ru). Changes of the electron densities at the nucleus are deduced with (as well as without) overlap and exchange corrections.
