Sequential decay of light fragments in heavy ion reactions
Abstract
A new interpretation of the production of light nuclei in heavy-ion reactions is presented. Yields and kinetic energies result from sequential decay by nucleons and α-particles of excited primary fragments formed by inelastic scattering or few-nucleon transfer.
