Radiative Corrections and Soft-Photon Emission in Magnetic Bremsstrahlung
Abstract
On the basis of elementary arguments it is shown that the soft-photon component of magnetic bremsstrahlung (synchrotron radiation) in the frequency range below hw (Hz) = 3 x 1010 H (megagauss) is completely dominated by radiation damping effects. Subject headings: pulsars - synchrotron radiation
