Carbon stars in the northern Milky Way.
Abstract
Summary. 59 carbon stars, 4 of which are new, were found in the areas I, III, and V of the catalog "Luminous Stars in the Northern Milky Way" and were subdivided into classes R and N by means of the 4350 A spectral discontinuity. Equatorial coordinates of about 1" pre cision were determined, and for many stars approximate photographic magnitudes were also derived. Key words: carbon stars
