Characterization and evaluation of materials for magnetic domain propagation (orthoferrites, garnets)
Abstract
The technology and experimental measurements required for the characterization of materials used in magnetic bubbles propagation are presented. The fundamentals of magnetic bubble generation and propagation are recalled. The technologies of generators, annihilation, and circulators using permalloy printed circuits are detailed. Control and command techniques with regard to bubble detection and switching are discussed. Temperature effects and interaction between bubbles and permalloy are dealt with in regard to studies on bubble mobility and defectoscopy.
