Preparation of a laser amplifier reaching a power of 50 MW at 3371 A in molecular nitrogen
Abstract
A new series of experiments on transverse electronic pumping of molecular nitrogen permitted the obtaining of an emission power close to 50 MW at 3371 A. From the results obtained with the two laser cells, of 1 m and 0.5 m in length, the gain in amplification was evaluated at 20 db. The duration of the emission is of the order of 2 ns.
