Discontinuous flux flow in superconducting NbSe 2
Abstract
The flux flow resistance region has been observed to end by a series of discontinuous steps to zero as the applied magnetic field or specimen current is increased. This supports Pippard's model of the flux line lattice deforming to match the pinning centres. A new interpretation of the 'peak' effect in the critical current curve is also given.
