Two new Beta Canis Majoris variables: epsilon Cen and delta Lup.
Abstract
E Cen and Lup have been discovered to be two additions to the rapidly growing list of broad-lined CMa variables. They range in light during their short periods over only about 0.01 and mag, respectively. The variation of E Cen is fairly well represented by two periods of od.1696o8 and 0d. 17696. The periodicity in the rather small range of Lup is not determined with certainty, but is either 0d.16547 (most probable) or 0d.14273 The paper concludes with a discussion, concerning the photometric errors, of the reality of the deviations from the adopted periods in E Cen, 8 Lup and also in A Sco and IC Sco.
