Long-range carbon-carbon spin-spin coupling constants from 1- 13C-labeled toluene
Abstract
A sample of 1- 13C-labeled toluene was synthesized and studied by nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy to determine all carbon-carbon spin-spin coupling constants involving the labeled C-1 carbon nucleus. The 1-2, 1-3, 1-4, and 1-7 coupling constants were, respectively: 57.30, 0.78, 9.45, and 44.15 Hz.
