Electronic excitation of solid carbon dioxide in the extreme ultraviolet
Abstract
The reflection spectrum of solid CO 2 has been measured for 30°K at 15° angle of incidence from 10 to 30 eV using synchrotron radiation. The ɛ 2-spectrum was calculated by means of the dispersion relation. The observed electronic absorption bands are compared to molecular excitations.
