Optical Studies of UHURU Sources. II. im Normae, a Possible X-Ray Source

We have discovered that the ex-nova IM Normae lies within the 90 percent confidence error-box surrounding the X-ray source 2U 1536-52. Following a discussion of the light curve of IM Nor, we present several lines of evidence suggesting that at least one type of nova phenomenon can give rise to observable X-ray emission.
