The Hydrogen Lines in Markarian 6.
Abstract
Results of new observations are presented showing that the second component in the hydrogen lines in Markarian 6 was still present in 1971 April and November. This is in conflict with Ulrich's report that the second component had disappeared. Even if Markarian 6 has not changed, the second component still provides strong evidence for large-scale mass motions. An attempt is made to relate the N galaxy 3C 390.3 and the Seyfert galaxy NGC 5548 to Markarian 6.
