A Reinterpretation of Abell's Counts of Clusters
Abstract
A reexamination of Abell's counts of clusters indicates that they show the same evolutionary effect as quasars and radio galaxies. Possible interpretations in terms of the breakup of clusters, or of the extinction of galaxies, are discussed.
