A study of HD 4180 as compared to Be stars with lightly extended envelopes.
Abstract
A Study of HD 4180 as Compared to Be Stars with Small Extent Envelopes The Hy, H , He equivalent widths variations of the HD 4180 star are characteristic of the shell. The emission decreases over a period of thirty years, until it desappears absolutely. Before it increases again a very strong absorption by the external shell is observed, which affects the wings of the lines profiles. The equlvalent width minimum Wm of these three lines is corresponding with the minimum of darkness of the shell; and the relevant profile is a characteristic of the star photosphere. Key words: Be stars - envelope of HD 4180- Emission
