∆I=12 Rule with Fermion Quarks
Abstract
It is shown that the Fierz reshuffling symmetry of the VA interaction combined with current algebra and partial conservation of axialvector current provides a reasonable explanation for the ∆I=12 rule in the framework of the threetriplet model with fermion quarks. This explanation can be distinguished from that based on an ad hoc boson quark assumption by studying whether the parityviolating ∆Y=0 nuclear transitions contain a significant ∆I=2 part.
