Mapping of neutral-hydrogen in galaxies by aperture synthesis techniques
Abstract
The problems of observing neutral hydrogen in external galaxies with high angular resolution are discussed. The operation of an aperture synthesis telescope with a cross correlation spectrometer giving an angular resolution better than I' arc with a velocity resolution of 39 km -1 is described.
