Light curve and photometric elements of beta Aurigae.
Abstract
Photoelectric observations of the eclipsing binary Aur have been carried out in B and V, in four spectral regions close to the , V, b, y system and in two HO regions. Several solutions for the photometric elements can be obtained since the eclipses are very shallow. However, from spectroscopic work it turns out that the two components are almost identicaL Photometric elements have therefore been computed assuming the ratio of the radius of the eclipsing star to the radius of the eclipsed star in primary minimum equal to 1.1, 1.0 or 0.9. Key words: eclipsing binary - photometric elements
