The crystal dynamics of barium fluoride
Abstract
Inelastic neutron scattering has been used to measure the phonon dispersion curves along the high symmetry directions of a single crystal of barium fluoride at room temperature. A simple shell model has been used to fit the data and derive values for elastic and dielectric constants which are compared to previous measurements.
