The 13CH satellite spectrum of p-dithiin and p-dithiene

The ¹³CH satellite patterns for p-dithiin have been obtained and analyzed. The inner satellite lines grouped around the proton resonance were also observed so that the absolute values of the long-range ¹³CH couplings could be obtained. In addition, a study of the outer satellite patterns for p-dithiene provided reliable values for the bonded ¹³CH coupling and the ethylenic HH coupling. The results are discussed in terms of the electronic structures of these two compounds.
