Infrared Observations of Galaxies and of the Extended Nucleus in M82
Abstract
The 10- source at the center of M82 extends 25" along the plane of the galaxy and 8" toward its poles. NGC 3227, NGC 4736, and NGC 5195 are bright at to thus, fourteen galaxies are now known to emit most of their luminosity in the far-infrared.
