Some general relativistic inequalities for a star in hydrostatic equilibrium
Abstract
A minimal theorem for the pressure inside a star in hydrostatic equilibrium is obtained in general relativity that is the analogue of a wellknown classical theorem. An improvement is made on some limiting inequalities obtained by Buchdahl (1959) related to the gravitational potential energy.
