Mechanics of Boundary Layer Transition. Part 1: General Introduction
Abstract
The fundamental mechanisms in the transition from laminar to turbulent flow are discussed. The role of transition flow processes improving positional prediction procedures and for determining methods of advancing or retarding the transition position are illustrated.
