Measurement of the Charge Asymmetry in the Decay KL0-->π+/-+e-/++ν
Abstract
The charge asymmetry δ=(Γ+-Γ- )(Γ++Γ-) for the electron in the decay of the long-lived neutral kaon to pion, electron, and neutrino has been measured. We find asymmetry δ=(+2.24+/-0.36)×10-3. The result shows that CP symmetry is not conserved in this process.
