Resonance Poles in a Simple Model of SWave PseudoscalarMesonBaryon Scattering
Abstract
In an earlier work a numerical calculation was made of Swave pseudoscalarmesonbaryon scattering in a simple brokenSU(3) model based on a static vectormeson exchange potential and coupledchannel Schrödinger equations. In the present work these calculations are extended to finding the location of the poles of the scattering matrix in the multisheeted complex energy plane and finding the motion of these poles as the strength of the potential is varied. Particular attention is paid to the behavior of the poles when the potential strength is such that there is a resonance closed to a threshold.
