Alpha M —: An improved computer program for determining radioisotopes by least-squares resolution of the gamma-ray spectra
Alpha M is an improved version of program Alpha - more versatile, more accurate, and also reduces the cost per determination. Fewer counts per channel are required, variations of the background are compensated for, computation time is reduced, results of consecutive spectra can be added, and initial conditions can be changed. A further improvement over Alpha is that the new program includes instructions for use with FORTRAN II, 62, 63, and IV languages and several digital computers - CDC-1604, -3600, IBM-7094/0, and -360. An instruction manual and Alpha M (with two sample problems) are available from the author.
