UBV photometry of 550 F, G and K type stars
Abstract
Magnitndes and colours on the UBV system are given for 550 stars of spectral types F, G and K (classes I-V) derived from a second series of photoelectric observations made at the Kitt Peak National Observatory. The (B - V) scale shows no significant differences in zero point compared with the Cape Equatorial Zone photometry and the Arizona-Tonantzintla catalogue. The same is true of (U-B) except for (U-B)> 1m.8 where diffculties in calibration were encountered. There are significant differences in AV, up to 0m.02 and correlated with right ascension
