The Performance of the Zeeman Analyzers of the 120-INCH COUDÉ Spectrograph.

The performance of Zeeman analyzers placed in operation at the coud spectrograph of the 1204nch reflector is described. A preliminary comparison of the Babcock and Lick observations of two of Babcock's a-variables, HD 71866 and HD 153882, indicates that there is no difference in the zero points of the two systems of magnetic fields, but that the Lick values for the magnetic fields may be 30 to 40 per cent larger than those of Babcock.
