Geometric and Photometric Parameters of the Terrestrial Planets
Abstract
A critical examination is presented of the diameters, ellipticities and spectral albedos of Mercury, Venus, and Mars derived by many observers in the course of the past 100 years. The systematic and accidental errors in the various methods are discussed, and the results are weighted accordingly to produce best estimates of the diameteres, ellipticities, and albedos for the three planets.
