Franck-Condon Factors for the no Beta and Gamma Band Systems.

Iorse oscillator wave functions have been used to calculate extensive arrays of Franck-Condon factors for the NO beta (B2ll-X2ll) and gamma (A2 +-X2ll) band systems. Compared with results obtained by Kivel, Iayer, and Bethe, from an anharmonic oscillator , the locations of the Franck-Condon parabolae are only slightly different, but quantitative differences in intensity distribution are considerable. Excellent agreement is found upon comparison with the less extensive arrays of Nicholls.
